Jet lag, et. al.

I always thought of jet lag as being tired from the traveling, and that's a part of it.  But not being able to sleep is the worse part.  After being awake for more than 24 hours, with some dozing on the long flight, one would think that sleep would come quickly and be sound.  But one's circadian rhythm doesn't change just like that.  I fianally hit the sack about 10:30pm local time and actually did fall asleep quite quickly (with the help of some Zzzquil).  But I woke up about three times and found myself wide awake by 3:30am.  My body knows what time it is at home.  It's quite fascinating.

So today is going to be another long day as I continue to make the adjustment.  Lot's of sun and outdoors say the experts.  12 years ago when Kristi and I make our trip to Switzerland it took at least three days before things began to even out.  I'm determined to make it quicker this time.  We shall see.  It's now about 5:30am.  I might try to doze a little longer before getting up.
